Sadhna Goel comes from the traditional city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Her parents and grandparents were born & raised in Uttar Pradesh, a place well known for its central languages of Sanskrit and Hindi.

 

Sadhna chose her mother as a source of inspiration. Her mother worked as a Sanskrit teacher as Sadhna was growing up and she know exactly what she wanted to do in life. She went to college and got a Masters in Clinical Psychology & earned a B.A. in Sanskrit. She later moved on to become a Hindi teacher and taught in India for three years. Now, several years later, she has started teaching Hindi to kids here. She has been running Goel Hindi Academy since 2007 and loves this passion with all of her heart and soul.

 

“Hindi is a very rich language,” Sadhna declares, “in today’s modernized generation, everyone speaks English and many of us are forgetting our national language; Hindi. I believe we should be proud of our language & our country; it is a place like no other,”. In her classes, Sadhna wishes to teach kids about their evergreen culture. She wants to not only teach them the Hindi language—but what it means to be Indian.
